Lester B. Pearson High School is a high school located in Burlington, Ontario, Canada, administered by the Halton District School Board. Founded in 1977, the school is named after former Prime Minister Lester B. Pearson.
The school has just over 850 students enrolled from local communities. The school won a Halton title in men's hockey in 2006. The men's basketball team has had success with 3 repetitive titles from 2005-2007 and one in 1988, with 3 Peel-GHAC championships and subsequent appearances at the OFSAA provincial championship tournament in 1988, 2006 and 2007.
In 2002, the men's baseball team won their first OFSAA provincial championship at the Rogers Centre in Toronto. Famous alumni include Best Actor Oscar nominee Ryan Gosling; singer-songwriter Sarah Harmer; President of the Ontario Progressive Conservative Party, Blair McCreadie; the Globe and Mail's European Bureau Chief, Doug Saunders; rock band Finger Eleven; and Paul Koehler, the drummer of the post-hardcore band Silverstein.
Pearson also raised $9000 to build a school in Sierra Leone, Africa with their Social Justice Program run by Ralph Trodd and Student Council.
