Lessing-Gymnasium (Frankfurt)

The Lessing-Gymnasium is the oldest Gymnasium in Frankfurt am Main. It was founded in 1519 by the city council. The first foreign languages are Latin and English starting in 5th grade. In the 7th grade the pupils have to choose between French or Ancient Greek. The school also has got a variety of the fine arts: It has got several orchestras and choirs.

Some famous people connected to the school are Georg Philipp Telemann, Georg Friedrich Grotefend, Peter Stein and Eva Demski.
