The Lesser Hedgehog Tenrec (Echinops telfairi) is a species of mammal in the Tenrecidae family. It is endemic to Madagascar. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests, dry savanna, subtropical or tropical dry shrubland, and subtropical or tropical dry lowland grassland.[2]
It is the only species in the genus Echinops.[1]
