From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Lesroy Charlesworth Weekes (born 19 July 1971 on Montserrat) was a first-class cricketer.

Weekes was a fast bowler who made appearances for the Leeward Islands cricket team, Lincolnshire CCC, Northamptonshire CCC, Yorkshire CCC and the Yorkshire Cricket Board, taking 69 first-class wickets at 27.11 and scoring 535 runs at 17.83 in a fitful career which spanned the 1990s.

He played 28 list A one day games, taking 27 wickets at 40.14.

Since retiring from 1st class cricket Lesroy has become one of the best league cricketers in the UK. In one season alone for Yorkshire League Club Rotherham Town he amassed over 90 League wickets and 500 runs.

Over the last 5 seasons Lesroy has plied his trade in the South Yorkshire Cricket league with Elsecar CC where he is still a major force although the days of the 90mph deliveries he was famed for are no longer in his arsenal. He consistently breaks the 50 wicket and 500 run barrier.
