Leslie Segrete

Leslie Segrete (pronounced seh-GRET-ee) (born February 28, 1975 in Bethpage, New York[1]) is an American designer, seamstress, carpenter, and television personality. She is best known for her work on the TLC show While You Were Out, which concluded a four-year run in 2006, and was a designer on Trading Spaces.

Segrete worked as the Art Director for several programs on the Oxygen channel and as Art Director for the Ricki Lake talk show.
She is a graduate of the French Culinary Institute and graduated from Hofstra University in 1997 with a B.A. in drama and a minor in anthropology.[2]

Segrete now appears as a carpenter and designer on the TLC show Trading Spaces.
Segrete currently writes monthly columns for two magazines, do! and House Beautiful. She is also working on a book titled Fear Not! You Can Reupholster Anything, due out in the spring of 2008 (Sterling Publishing).[3]. She also co-hosts a syndicated call-in radio show on home improvement called "The Money Pit."
