Leslie (comedienne)

Leslie, also known as Leslie Jones, is an American stand-up comedian and actress. She has appeared on HBO's Def Comedy Jam, BET's ComicView, and It's Showtime at the Apollo. She has appeared in the television series "Girlfriends" and "Malcolm and Eddie" and the major motion pictures "National Security" and "Gangsta Rap."

Leslie began her stand-up career at Colorado State University where the school paper voted her "Funniest Person on Campus."

She has appeared in Comedy Central's "Premium Blend", BET's "ComicView" and "The Way We Do It", Showtime at the Apollo, Comedy Factor, and HBO's Def Comedy Jam 2006.

She is a club regular at Hollywood's Comedy Store. She has headlined The Improv, Laff Factory, Caroline's and been featured at Comic Strip.

She has appeared in television sitcoms including "In the House", "Coach", "Snap Judgment", "Malcolm and Eddie", and "Girlfriends"

She has appeared in the Just for Laughs Montreal Comedy Festival, Aspen Comedy Festival, Comedy Central's Laffapalooza – Urban Comedy Arts Festival, and won the national and regional Bacardi By Night Comedy Tour.

Leslie has appeared in the major motion pictures National Security, opposite Martin Lawrence, Master P's Repos, and the upcoming Coke Daniels' Gangsta Rap.

Leslie has been featured in VIBE magazine, the Los Angeles Times, and Darryl J. Littleton's book "Black Comedians on Black Comedy: How African-Americans Taught Us to Laugh."

Leslie has extensive physical training in collegiate basketball, running, swimming and volleyball.

While attending college, she has been a cook, waitress, cashier, justice of the peace, sold perfume, conducted surveys, answered phones as a receptionist, and an interpreter.

She has opened for Jamie Foxx.
