Leschenault's Rousette (Rousettus leschenaultii) is a species of fruit bat found in South and Southeast Asia.

The distribution range includes Pakistan, India, Nepal, Assam, Myanmar, Indochina, and Java (Lekagul and McNeely, 1977).
[edit] Biology and Ecology
According to a study by Lekagul and McNeely (1977), the species is a cave dweller and live in cooler climate but also roosts in wells, mines and artificial caves. Diet consists of fruit juices and nectar, but have been found feeding on molluscs.
