Les Roches International School of Hotel Management offers higher education degrees in hospitality management and business. With nearly 1,150 students, Les Roches places students in internships at hotels and other fine establishments around the world.

Les Roches was founded in 1954 as the international institute Ecole Les Roches, by Marcel and Jean-Pierre Clivaz. The school’s name was later changed to the Les Roches International School. In 1979, the campus became the Les Roches Hotel and Tourism School, with classes taught in English.

In November 2000, the School was sold in its entirety to Sylvan Learning Systems, Inc.

In 2002, Sylvan Learning Systems, Inc. changed its name to Laureate Education, Inc. and Les Roches became part of a division called Laureate International Universities. Laureate operates universities in Chile, China, France, Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, Peru, Switzerland, and Spain, with more than 165,000 students each year in higher education programs. It is currently the largest international network of universities in the world.

Les Roches also maintains a joint venture partnership school with Jin Jiang International, Les Roches Jin Jiang International Hotel Management College, in Shanghai, China. And is affiliated with Enderun Colleges Inc., Philippines

Les Roches is fully accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges , Inc. through its Commission on Institutions of Higher Education.

Additionally, Les Roches is recognized by the Swiss Hotel Association.

In 2002, the Education Department of the Canton of Valais recognized Les Roches as having degree-awarding status
