Les Lilas is a commune in the eastern suburbs of Paris, France. It is located 5.7 km (3.5 miles) from the center of Paris. It is one of the most densely populated municipalities in Europe.

The commune of Les Lilas (literally "the lilacs") was created on July 24, 1867 by detaching a part of the territory of Romainville and merging it with a part of the territory of Pantin and a part of the territory of Bagnolet.

- Les Lilas is also known for the famous song Serge Gainsbourg wrote about "Le poinçonneur des Lilas" (literally, the Les Lilas station ticket puncher).
- The city motto is "J’étais fleur, je suis cité", literally "I was a flower, I am a city"
- It is the home of the exiled royal family of Montenegro.
- It is the birthplace of French actress Maïwenn Le Besco.
