Keyboard player Les Gilbert (born January 10, 1946 in Melbourne, Australia) was a founding member of the '60s band, the Wild Cherries and appeared on the band's early recordings, which together with the band's four singles for the Festival label have been picked up for a compilation album by Half a Cow Records.
Les Gilbert has also released at least one "Natural Symphony" CD. It is an unedited, high quality recording of dawn at a billabong on Nourlangie Creek in Kakadu National Park in Northern Australia. There is no music overdub and the birds and other animals can be heard going about their morning routine. The CD is titled 'Kakadu Billabong'.
