Lerner Enterprises is a real estate business founded by Ted Lerner in North Bethesda, Maryland, United States, and operates primarily throughout the Washington, D.C. metropolis. It is is wholly owned and operated by the Lerner family which consists of Theodore Lerner, his three sons, Mark Lerner, Robert Tanenbaum (son-in-law), and Ed Cohen (son-in-law).There are nine Lerner grandchildren and heirs to the Lerner wealth.
Among the Lerner Enterprises ventures is a partnership in Chelsea Piers, a 30-acre sports and entertainment complex on the Hudson River in New York City, Tysons Corner, Tysons I and II, Wheaton Plaza, thousands of Homes and apartments, White Flint Mall, and Dulles Town Center, along with numerous office buildings.
In 1999, Lerner Enterprises received the Greater Washington Family Business of the Year Award.
In 2006 Lerner Enterprises purchased the Washington Nationals Baseball Team
