LeRoy Ellis

LeRoy Ellis (born March 10, 1940 in Far Rockaway, New York) is a retired American basketball player.
A 6'10" center from St. John's University, Ellis was selected by the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round (8th pick overall) of the 1962 NBA Draft. He played 14 seasons (1962–1976) in the NBA with the Lakers, Baltimore Bullets, Portland Trail Blazers, and Philadelphia 76ers. Upon retiring in 1976, Ellis had amassed career totals of 10,176 points and 8,709 rebounds.
His son, LeRon Ellis, played in the NBA during the 1990s.[1]
