LeRoy Edwards

LeRoy Edwards (April 11, 1914–August 25, 1971) was an American basketball player. He was nicknamed "Cowboy" and "Lefty."
A 6'5" center who played one season of varsity basketball at the University of Kentucky, Edwards was one of the best professional players in the era before the NBA. From 1937 to 1949 he played for the Oshkosh All-Stars of the National Basketball League, winning two championships and leading the league in scoring three times. He was inducted into the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame in 1980, nine years after his death from a heart attack.
