Leptopelis rufus is a species of frog in the Hyperoliidae family. It is found in Cameroon, Republic of the Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Nigeria, possibly Angola, and possibly Central African Republic. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, rivers, and heavily degraded former forest. It is threatened by habitat loss.
