Leptocyon is an extinct ancient canine ancestor of today's foxes and dogs, that lived during the Early Miocene 23 Mya with Nothocyon leading to the Borophaginae and 2nd and 3rd canine radiations.[1] Species: L. gregorii, L. vafer, L. vulpinus.[2]
