[edit] Your email

Leofff, thank you for your email message regarding your blanking of my vote on the AfD on Religiopath. I hope you don't mind if I respond here - I prefer to keep discussions regarding Wikipedia on Wikipedia pages. First, let me say that I have no doubt whatsoever that you, and others involved in the Religiopath webpage, are good people, and that you are are having good (maybe even important) discussions on your webpage. However, my opinion about you and your webpage has very little to do with whether or not the page/group/term is notable.

Let me suggest that, perhaps, because of your association with the page/group/term you might not be the person to write/edit a neutral article about it. Wikipedia policy frowns on, but does not forbid, writing/editing articles about oneself or organizations one is associated with because of just this sort of conflict of interest. In addition, Wikipedia policy on reliable sources suggests caution when using self-published sources.

Truly, my thoughts on whether the article should stay or go are not an indication of my personal like/dislike of the webpage or ideas there, but are rather an indication of whether or not the article conforms to the policies of Wikipedia. Thanks for listening. Pastordavid 07:20, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
