Leonid Korogodski was born in 1966, in Ukraine (then part of the Soviet Union). He received a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Upon graduation, he was invited as a visiting scientist to the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton for a one-year program in Mathematical Physics. Having left the academia for personal reasons, he has worked in the software industry since. At this time, he is a principal software engineer at CA, Inc. (formerly known as Computer Associates, Inc.), working in the area of access control and identity management. He is a single father, living in the Boston area. He is also a beginning fiction writer. A graduate of the Viable Paradise workshop, he has several novel-length works in progress, in the genres of science fiction and fantasy. At Wikipedia, he has been active in support of the Plasma Universe scientific paradigm, exemplified by the works of Drs. Hannes Alfvén, Anthony Peratt, and others.
