"He returned to Oviedo with the charge of Roman cathedratic" I presume "charge" refers to cargo, meaning "post" or "job". "Cathedratic" must be catedrático, which is essentially a tenured professor at University. I presume Roman to refer to Roman (i.e. Civil) law, as opposed to Canon (Catholic Church) law. glasperlenspiel 03:57, 9 November 2005 (UTC)
