I will not bother to even discuss the facile {{sections}} template - so much easier to edit the article to add a template than to add one or two headings - but {{nofootnotes}} and {{fact}}?
There are two listed references, both of which confirm that
- He worked on psychological warfare in New York and San Francisco in 1942-4 (after doing similar work in the UK, and before moving back to Europe in a similar role)
- He ran the BBC's New York office in the late 1960s (the Guardian explicitly mentions selling "BBC costume serials" to US networks; it hardly needs an encyclopedic knowledge of the sort of programme that a BBC executive in a commercial role would be selling to the Americans in the 1960s)
- He worked with Asa Briggs on The History of Broadcasting in the United Kingdom
The rest of this article is also drawn from the same two sources, which do not disagree in any material respect (I am struggling to think of anywhere that they disagree at all, in fact). Would you like me to add two footnotes to the end of every clause, sentence or paragraph?
