Leopold Moczygemba

Father Leopold Moczygemba, OFM Conv, (October 18, 1824-February 23, 1891) was a Polish-born Catholic priest and pioneer active primarily in the United States. He is remembered today for founding the towns of Panna Maria and Bandera, Texas; during his career he also ministered to the ethnic Polish populations of the north-central United States.
