Leopold Count van Limburg Stirum (born Hoogeveen March 12, 1758, died 's-Gravenhage June 25, 1840) was a member of Dutch Parliament (Lid Eerste Kamer), Minister, Grkr. Orde van de Ned. Leeuw, Grkr. Militaire Willemsorde, silver medaille Vereniging tot aanmoediging van de dienst bij de Gewapende Macht.

He took part to the Driemanschap, the General Government that took power between 21 November 1813 and 2 December 1813 in the name of the Prince of Oranje-Nassau, in order to re-establish the monarchy in the Netherlands. Other two members were Gijsbert Karel van Hogendorp (born 1762, died 1834) and Adam François Jules Armand van der Duyn, heer van Maasdam (born 1771, died 1848)

He married (1st) in 1782 Theodora van der Does, Lady of Noordwijk (born 1758, died 1793), then (2nd) in 1801 Maria van Styrum (born 1763, died 1848) and they had issue:

  • Wigbold Albert Willem, count van Limburg Stirum Noordwijk, baron de l'Empire (27 Jan 1813) (born in 's-Hertogenbosch 16 April 1786, died in 's-Gravenhage 15 January 1855), lid notabelenvergadering (1814), lid Eerste Kamer, Ridder in de Orde van de Nederlandse Leeuw. He married in 1811 Maria Margareta Elisabeth baroness van Slingeland (born 1790, died 1834);
  • Otto Jan Herbert, count van Limburg Stirum (born 1789, died 1851). He married (1st) in 1814 Josephine Arnoldine baroness Rengers (born 1789, died 1839); (2nd) in 1843 Sophia Augusta von Buchwald (born 1814, died 1890);
  • Frederik Govert, count van Limburg Stirum (born 1790, k.a. Leipzig 1813);
  • Wilhelmina Frederica Sophia, countess van Limburg Stirum (born 1784, died 1870);
  • Marie Jeanna Leopoldine, countess van Limburg Stirum (born 1803, died 1808).
