[edit] Construction
With the exception of the GM LS-2 All-aluminum V8 engine (also used in the Chevrolet Corvette), the Leopard 6 Litre Roadster is completely hand built in a state of the art production facility in Mielec. The current production capacity of the new factory is only 20 units per year to guarantee a high level of precision in the assembly process.
[edit] Launch
Although the design of the vehicle started in 1995, the first car was constructed in November, 2003. The Leopard 6 Litre Roadster was officially launched in April 2005 in Paris, France, and the first units to hit the market were produced in late 2005, selling for an estimated €125,000 and claiming the title of the most expensive Polish vehicle ever commercially produced. The total number of manufactured units currently stands around 25 and will be limited to a maximum of 200 to retain the exclusive image. The manufacturer is preparing a new, stronger, Leopard Coupe model (drawing is available at the official company site).
