Leonid Ostrovskiy

Leonid Alfonsovich Ostrovskiy (Russian: Леони́д Альфо́нсович Остро́вский; born 17 January 1936; died 2001) was a Lativian footballer player and manager. His name in Latvian is Leonīds Ostrovskis.

During his club career he played for Daugava Riga, Torpedo Moscow, Dynamo Kiev and FC Mashuk-KMV Pyatigorsk. He earned 9 caps for the USSR national football team, and participated in three World Cups: 1958, 1962 and 1966. He was the only one Latvian footballer for the USSR on the World Cups.
