Leonardo Alenza

Leonardo Alenza (1807-1845) was a Spanish painter and engraver. He was born ub Madrid. He studied art under Juan Rivera and José de Madrazo, and became a good portrait painter, but was more especially famous for his pictures of lower classes at play and work. He became a member of the Royal Academy of San Fernando of Madrid in 1842.
