Leon Sperling

Leon Sperling born August 07 1900 in Kraków, died shot by the Nazis in the Lwów Jewish ghetto on December 15, 1941.
Sperling was a football forward, playing on the left wing. Represented Cracovia Kraków, with this team he was in 1921, 1930 and 1932 the Champion of Poland. Also, played in 16 games for the Polish National Team, including Poland's lone game at the 1924 Paris Olympic Games. He was regarded as a very skilled dribbler, highly skilled. Up to this day Sperling is one of Cracovia Kraków's legends.
