From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Leo Segarra Sánchez (1981 - ), more commonly known as Leo is a Spanish singer who became famous via Operación Triunfo. Born on February 4 1981 in Valencia, Leo is the son of Leopoldo, a doctor, and Marisol, a nurse. He has an older sister called Lorena. He studied information technology engineering, where he participated a year abroad in Norway. There he began to sing in public in the streets, where he got over his shyness before entering a contest which made him famous and came second in Fine Arts. He worked as a pool monitor and in the Orquesta Coyote, but didn't go back. He tried his luck by attending the auditions for Operación Triunfo and he was lucky. He passed each successive stage but his style, singing and personality captured many thousands of fans and because of this, he came third to Lorena. Currently his fan club has more than five thousand members as of May 2007.
