Leo O'Connor (born c. 1963) served as a Research Assistant to former Labour MP for Northampton South, Tony Clarke. In 2005, Clarke's office at Portcullis House was searched, and O'Connor was charged along with David Keogh of breaking the Official Secrets Act. He has been released on bail, and was due to appear on November 29 to answer the charges.
On the 10 May 2007, Keogh was found guilty on two counts of making a "damaging disclosure" by revealing the memo and was sentenced to 6 months in jail. He was also ordered to pay £5000 in costs to the to the prosecution. O'Connor was sentenced to 3 months in jail. (Reuters)
O'Connor lives in Duston, Northampton, a short distance from David Keogh's residence.
