Leo Kirsch

Leo Kirsch was a German media proprietor. A contemporary of Robert Maxwell, Rupert Murdoch, Silvio Berlusconi et al. Kirsch's KirschMedia group went into receivership after 2001 following a period of financial instability. The group's media assets have since been sold.

Kirsch owned a share of Formula One franchise which was later sold back to Bernie Ecclestone, the current owner of a majority share of the sport and its broadcast rights.
