[edit] Autobiography

I have run into this article while doing disambiguation work. An encyclopaedia article which is full of "I did this, I did that" is unacceptable per WP:AUTO, but I do not have the time right now to check the notability of the subject or whether the claims in the article are verifiable and neutrally stated. I will take this to the conflicts of interest noticeboard. Sam Blacketer 12:26, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

Dealt with, I think; the history looks fine until recent edits by 80.41.10.175 converting it to first person. Tearlach 15:06, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
Oops! Didn't spot the mid-article vandalism. Tearlach 18:05, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

Clearly someone was trying to damage the article. ClassA 03:07, 13 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Clean up spam

Sorry for removing the tag. I was unfamiliar with wikipedia policy. I have cleaned up the article. I have removed the unnecessary links and reduced it down to relevant links which show that Lee is a notable artist in the UK, Germany, Spain and China. I included the full length channel four documentary and the press surrounding his work in Germany and Spain. ClassA 11:21, 13 April 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for letting me know you have removed the tag. Your comments are noted. I will try in future to find out more about wikipedia policy so this doesn't happen again.ClassA 14:51, 14 April 2007 (UTC)

These external links aren't spam, which is promotion by a web site of itself. They are substantiation for the notability of the artist, just a bit excessive in that regard, but wiki can't have it both ways. I dare say a number of them would be better employed as inline citations. Tyrenius 05:59, 19 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Young British Artist

There seems no verification for this. Certainly the Saatchi Gallery forum is not an acceptable source. Google gives nothing apart from this entry and mirrors.[1] Tyrenius 05:52, 19 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Internal spam

I am concerned with internal spamming [2], such as this one I deleted,[3] and the YBA mention as above. Tyrenius 07:51, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
