[edit] Career

After attending the Palantine Secondary School, Blackpool, he was a journalist on the West Lancashire Evening Gazette before becoming a professional entertainer and appearing on The Good Old Days in 1966. Bennett starred in the Lennie and Jerry Show with Jerry Stevens. It ran from 1978 to 1980. He was also the host of Punchlines and Lucky Ladders in the 1980s. Bennett is a much-requested speaker on the after-dinner circuit, at golf dinners, and is in demand for his skills as a presenter at top corporate events. He was, and is always a warm and giving character, there would be many a time when he would sign autographs for the audience, and on one particular occasion I remember him having his photo taken with a dear friend of mine. To this day it gives Paul (my husband) many many happy memories.

[edit] Trivia
