Lenn Redman

Lenn Redman (1912 - 1984) was a cartoonist and civil rights activist. Lenn was born in Chicago, Illinois, yet moved to California as a young man to pursue his career. Coming from a family of artists, he was the youngest of three children of Jewish immigrants. His parents were Sarah and Victor Redman, who migrated from Ladyzhinka, Russia.
Lenn's talents led him to become an artist, cartoonist, illustrator, animator, entertainer, author, poet, civil rights advocate. His career spanned more than 50 years.

- "What am I"? series of books that was first published in 1980. The National Conference of Christians and Jews printed and distributed a million copies in commemoration of National Brotherhood Week. The series is a masterpiece in Diversity Awareness/Education.
