Len Denton (real name - Edward Lynn Denton) is a professional wrestler, best known by his ring name The Grappler.

While wrestling in Pacific Northwest Wrestling, his gimmick was a loaded boot, and later a loaded mask, which he had started wearing earlier in his career after losing a hair match and being forced to shave his head. This also became part of his gimmick, as he continued to wear the mask even though it was obvious that his hair had grown back.

In the 1980s in a Mid-South Wrestling bout, Jake "The Snake" Roberts put Denton in a front facelock. Denton had tripped, stepping on Jake's foot, causing Roberts to fall backwards and Denton to fall on his head. As a result, Roberts invented the professional wrestling move known as the DDT.
