from VfD:

Basically, a recipe. I don't suppose Wikipedia is a cookbook, although I suppose a particularly interesting or important dish in culinary history might be encyclopedic. This isn't one, though. --BM 22:00, 24 Dec 2004 (UTC)

I added this merely because it was listed as an example of Southern U.S. cuisine and had no entry. -- Soultaco (who is new here) 22:08, 24 Dec 2004 (UTC)

  • It's a little specific. Merge to the refering article and redirect. hfool 22:35, 24 Dec 2004 (UTC)
  • Transwiki. Recipes generally live at Wikibooks, which can always use more. Niteowlneils 22:37, 24 Dec 2004 (UTC)
    • Not a recipe, just a description. Food is definitely encyclopedic. -- Cyrius| 00:04, 25 Dec 2004 (UTC)
  • A lemon ice box pie is a variant on the Lemon meringue pie. Merge and redirect into Lemon meringue pie. -- Cyrius| 00:04, 25 Dec 2004 (UTC)
    • It is far more like key lime pie, and should be merged and redirected there. - SimonP 00:06, Dec 25, 2004 (UTC)
      • Depends on the recipes involved for all three dishes. -- Cyrius| 04:30, 25 Dec 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep, it's culturally notable and helpful. Wyss 00:05, 25 Dec 2004 (UTC)

  • Keep. Basically, not a reciepe, and there's no other grounds it could be deleted on. Dan100 10:23, Dec 26, 2004 (UTC)
  • M-m-m-m! Pie! Keep. Grue 19:21, 26 Dec 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep. It's not a recipe, it's a description of a type of food. Bryan 20:09, 26 Dec 2004 (UTC)
  • Mmmmm pie. Keep and expand. ~leifHELO 05:50, Dec 27, 2004 (UTC)

[edit] name brands

Did anyone notice that this article uses name brands for ingredients? Doesn't sound right to me! SnowShoes talk here 01:25, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
