[edit] Plagiarism
Much of the content here has been plagiarised from Imperial Armour, most notably the description of the Tank Destroyer. RfD in-deed. 219.90.242.95 13:44, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
- I don't have my book with me, but I'll put a post on the project page and someone will check it. --Falcorian (talk) 14:35, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
- I have access to most of them. I'll check. Shrumster 11:51, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks. :) I was going to get me books this weekend, but forget... Oops! --Falcorian (talk) 18:48, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
- Yep, the Destroyer entry is word-for-word lifted from the first Imperial Armour. Will deal with it. Shrumster 19:26, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
- Even the Thunderer entry is copied from IA. User:172.141.60.162 was the one who put the info in. diff Shrumster 19:31, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
- Creepy how the text has been in-article for more than a year now. Shrumster 19:33, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
- Done! Rewrote the entries for the two tanks. I'm sorely tempted to fix all the entries and maybe merge the entire article into Vehicles of the Imperial Guard (Warhammer 40,000) when I have more time. Shrumster 20:43, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Baneblade
I'll admit to not being totally savvy on the what's-what of W40k, but isn't the Baneblade a Leman Russ tank? If so, can someone include it here?
All I know about it is that it's so powerful that it typically takes up enough points to field an army, and requires pre-game go-ahead by an opponent to use. TKarrde 11:23, 14 January 2006 (UTC)
- Not really. The Baneblade and variants are a much bigger, heavier tank than those based on the Leman Russ chassis. There's a small bit under Weapons, Equipment and Vehicles of the Imperium, or see the Epic rulebook as available from the GW website: the Baneblade is a "standard" tank in Epic rules. - Ah! Just what I was looking for. Thanks! TKarrde 14:12, 14 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] NPOV
So many POV areas filled with hyperbole! Orks are "foul", Lost & the Damned are "traitors"... That's racial and religious discrimination. This should be a neutral encyclopedia, not some Imperial propoganda rag. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 158.94.254.20 (talk • contribs) .
- Point taken, but it really is just two words in an article; please assume good faith with respect to other editor's contributions. --Pak21 15:40, 11 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] HBT vs. MBT
The Leman Russ is not a heavy battle tank--it's a main battle tank. Edited accordingly, but if anyone wants to refute...? Blast-san | Talk 2123 (UTC -4), 13.09.06
[edit] WP:WAF
The article is horribly in-universe ever since it was split off. I'll see what I can do about it. Shrumster 11:52, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] "variants"
Just realized, while it may *look* like they are variants of the Russ (since they use the same base model/chassis), nowhere in any of the IA texts is it stated that the Destroyer, Thunderer, Atlas, etc. (and practically anything here that doesn't have "Leman Russ" in its name) are truly "variants" of the Russ. Wikiwise, lumping them together as variants would be OR. They should most probably be re-collated back into the Vehicles of the IG article. (Actually, I kinda feel the same way about all the vehicles here. The VotIG page is only 33kb anyway and can take the info.) Shrumster 20:55, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
