Black-and-white Ruffed Lemur (Varecia varigata)

Black and White Ruffed Lemur meets Homo Sapiens at Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, North Devon, England. The public are allowed into the cage because the animals are not dangerous. Nevertheless, to avoid them becoming too tame stroking or other contact is not allowed.

This picture was taken while I was inside the cage.

Taken by Adrian Pingstone in July 2004 and released to the public domain.
