Lehchevo (Лехчево) is a village in northwestern Bulgaria. It has a population of about 2,000 people, most of whom are elderly. It is located on the left bank of the Ogosta river, has its own football (soccer) stadium, and primary occupation is agriculture. Almost every family has domesticated animals — goats, sheep, cows, horses or donkeys, pigs, chickens, dogs and cats.
The only means of transportation linking Lehchevo to other villages and towns nearby is the bus transport system. However, many of the villagers use their carts or old cars as transportation inside the village and its close surroundings.
