Leka is a municipality in the county of Nord-Trøndelag, Norway.
Leka was separated from Kolvereid October 1, 1860. Gravvik was separated from Leka January 1, 1909.

The Norse form of the name was Leka. The meaning of the name is unknown.

The coat-of-arms is from 1989. It shows the wing and claw of an eagle. (In 1932 a child was taken by an eagle on the island.)

Primarily a fishing and farming community, Leka is the northernmost municipality in Trøndelag. The island has been inhabited for at least 10,000 years, as evidenced by cave drawings in the Solsem section of the island.
