leisaie, alias molly shannon, is a jaded intellectual. she is seventeen years old.

she spends a lot of time reading, experimenting with rebellion, and thinking about death. she reluctantly desists from further pursuing this last interest because of Circle Pines Center.

she writes poetry and is embarrassed about it and rarely sleeps. molly cannot be persuaded that the sixties are over. she cries when she listens to phil ochs. the weakerthans make everything better.
