Talk:Leigh, New Zealand
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Leigh is a good article, could use some images
The description of Leigh is starting to look like a tourist brochure again.
I think an encyclopedia article should simply list the beaches, without describing them as 'exquisite'.
And I wonder if the 'quiet' people of Leigh want to attract rubber-necking celebrity seekers?
But I'm not going to do any more editing - I'll leave that to the people who know it better.

I live in Leigh, married to a 5-generation Leigh family, and we are heavily entwined with every aspect of the permanent (and to some degree transient tourist) community. I'd like to keep editing the page so it sounds more like an encyclopedia, less like a tourist brochure.
I was especially discombobulated by a previous note in the article that claimed Leigh residents consider themselves Aucklanders, which is so far from the truth that it borders on flame-bait. "Them's fightin' words" to the good people of Leigh.
If anyone else would like to collaborate on this article, I'd be happy to meet them at the Top Bar for a coffee and a chat.
I'll add some photos of the area as soon as I get a chance.
And after all that...forgot to add my signature. I hate when that happens.
