Leivathos

Leivathos (Λειβαθός) is a municipality in Kefalonia, Greece. It lies south of Argostoli, on the central south coast of the island, and has a land area of 62.626 km² and a population of 4,663 (2001 census). Its largest towns are Svoronáta (pop. 674), Vlacháta (578), Peratáta (505), and Metaxáta (493).

The municipality is comprised of the following municipal departments (districts):

  • Kerameies (seat of the municipality)
