Leith Anderson

Leith Anderson has served as senior pastor of Wooddale Church in Eden Prairie, Minnesota since 1977. His education includes Moody Bible Institute, Chicago, Illinois; Bradley University, Peoria, Illinois (BA in Sociology); Denver Seminary, Denver, Colorado (Master of Divinity); Fuller Theological Seminary, Pasadena, California (Doctor of Ministry).

Leith has written articles published in many periodicals and he has authored eight books including Dying for Change, A Church for the 21st Century, Praying to the God You Can Trust, Leadership That Works and Jesus: An Intimate Portrait of the Man, His Land , and His People.

Faith Matters is the radio ministry of Leith Anderson and Wooddale Church. The ministry began in its current format in August of 1999. Faith Matters is heard on Christian stations across the United States.

Anderson, Denver Seminary alumnus, served as the interim president of that institution from 1999-2000, following the death of the former president Dr. Clyde McDowell. He was succeeded by the current president, Dr. Craig Williford.

Anderson became the interim president of the U.S. National Association of Evangelicals, replacing Ted Haggard in November 2006. He had also been president of the group from 2001-03.

Anderson is a proponent of the Bible Literacy Project's curriculum The Bible and Its Influence for public high school literature courses.

Anderson is the pastor of Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty.
