Leisure Air was an airline based in Winston-Salem and operated charter flights from 1992 until 1995.

Leisure Air was set up in 1982 with its base in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. It flew charter flights using five leased Airbus A320, two Douglas DC-10 and Boeing 757. The charter flights were to the southwest United States, Mexico and the Caribbean. Also it operated charters from Los Angeles and San Francisco to Hawaii using the DC-10s. Those DC-10s were also used for charter flights to Europe. When the FAA found irregularities in the maintenance records of the DC-10s, it withdrew the operating license for the DC-10 and the B757. Only the A320s continued to operate but at a much reduced scale. By February 1995 the operations could not be sustained and Leisure Air went out of business. ^[1]
