[edit] Neighbouring communities
Neighbouring cities and municipalities are (clockwise, beginning in the east): Heilbronn, Nordheim(Württemberg) and Schwaigern.
[edit] Structure
Leingarten consists of the formerly independent municipalities Großgartach und Schluchtern, both have grown seamlessly together since they merged.
[edit] Crest and flag
In a split shield in front a lowered silver sword on red, in the back a red grill on silver.
The flag of Leingarten is red and white.
The crest shows the attributes of the patron saints of the predecessors Großgartach and Schluchtern, the sword of St. Pankratius and the grill of St.Laurentius.
[edit] Twin municipalities
Leingarten's twin municipalities are Lésigny in France (since May 1975) and Asola in Italy (since October 30st 2004). Lésigny and Asola are also twin municipalities of each other, because of this Leingarten calls this partnership a trilateral partnership.
[edit] Buildings
Visible from afar is Leingarten's trademark, the Heuchelberger Warte (Heuchelberg Watch), built 1483 by Duke Eberhard I. of Württemberg. It is now a well liked trip destination with an inn.
