Leif Magne Tangen (born 1978 in Norway) is a father, curator, art critic and art dealer. He is from the Lofoten Islands in the north of Norway. He is currently living in Leipzig, Germany where he is the director of Pierogi Leipzig. [1]
He was one of the founding members of D21 [2], a non-profit artspace in Leipzig. Together with Mark Aerial Waller, Heman Chong, Rosemary Heather, Francis McKee, David Reinfurt, Steve Rushton and Cosmin Costinas he co-authored Philip, a collaborative science fiction book inspired by Philip K. Dick, which was published by Project Press, Dublin, in 2007. [3]. He curated Bare Words at Lautom Contemporary [4] in Oslo in 2007. In 2006 Jan B. Christensen initiated a project space in Skien, Norway, naming it after Leif Magne Tangen [5] featuring young artists only that is still running today.
