[edit] hi, bolowali encounter
i don't know why bolowali encounter was deleted
can i repost it?? i have got a punjabi newspaper cover showing the 5 sikhs in the field... Isn't that enough.. I think this article is quite notable since its in the same league as the SARAGARHI battle. And u may not believe but ITS THE TRUTH that 5 'terrorists' fought against 10,000+. Its hard to believe, but even Saragarhi battle is hard to believe where 21 fought against 10,000, and killed more than 4,000. But why can't you believe a battle from 5 against 12,000, and all terrorist killed and from army side casualties in hundreds. Do you think i would lie for the sake of an article?? Sunnybondsinghjalwehra (talk) 16:40, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
- Hi, in wikipedia the central theme on which the data are presented is that there should be no original research and the refernce should be independantly verified, you can refer to WP:OR for more details. The article on bolowali encounter seems so unreal that a casual reader would be astonished at the high casualty rate of the army (though i dont think that it is impossible), however it does not have any value on what i think, but it is of value what neutral sources states on the incident, i failed to get any refernce of the bolowali encounter by googling except for a certain extremist blog. So try to substantiate by giving credible sources. LegalEagle (talk) 12:37, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Hello sir
Sir,
Since last some days, a person with the ip adress 90.192.59.135, is constantly making edits to Khalistan. I have no problems that someone edits a page and makes it better. But he keeps distorting it, and making the page anti-Khalistan, which is against the POV. So i request you to ban him or contact him.
Thanks in advance, Sunny Singh Doad —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sunnybondsinghjalwehra (talk • contribs) 17:00, 1 January 2008 (UTC)

Hi, I'm a new to editing Wikipedia and have stumbled across your page. I've noticed that you started "Espionage in Ancient India". I understand that it's deleted now, you don't happen to have another copy of the page at its prime.--Vishnuchakra 23:34, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Battle of Musa Qala
Just to let you know why I have reverted your 'Spelling correction' made to what I wrote in the article. I understand your meaning, however in the context of the story 'reputedly' - by repute; according to general belief - is the correct word to use. Note there is some indication the boy was tortured, with hanging only part of the process, as opposed to hanged in the general sense of the word. Had I wished to infer otherwise I would have simply omitted the word from the sentence. Note what I wrote with the referenced article on the 10th December, in the timeline of the battle. Richard Harvey (talk) 16:25, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
- Hi Richard, thank you for letting me know the reason for revert. LegalEagle (talk) 11:05, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] bolowali encounter
Sir, could u please explain me why u put an notice on the article Bolowali Encounter? COuld u tell me what I can do, to improve it. Sunnybondsinghjalwehra (talk) 14:36, 19 December 2007 (UTC)
- Hi, the article on Bolowali Encounter does not have any verifiable reference and on googling it one gets only 3 hits out of which two are from wikipedia and the other is an extremist pov blog, thus it seems that the article is based on original research WP:NOR. I would like to suggest that in order to keep the article you have to get verifiable npov sources to substantiate the claims made in the article. LegalEagle (talk) 14:51, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] hi
Hi Legaleagle,
Is there anyway to stop the vandalism of the Khalistan page, as you may be aware the Khalistan terrorist groups are banned in the UK and Europe, but for some reason this information is always edited out.
By mistake I think I undid a revision you made, my apologies. I would appreciate any help. Thank you —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.192.59.130 (talk) 11:45, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] RTI act and copyright
Hi legal,
could you take a look at the RTI act and see what that means for the copyright status of government issued/released material. For example, what is the license for PIB or DRDO released information? Thanks. T/@Sniperz11editssign 22:50, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
- Hi sniper, as per section 9 of RTI
- Without prejudice to the provisions of section 8, a Central Public Information Officer or a State Public Information Officer, as the case may be, may reject a request for information where such a request for providing access would involve an infringement of copyright subsisting in a person other than the State.
- Thus if we construe the section backwards we find that any document provided by government where the copyright is held by govt, will come under public domain license if not provided otherwise, because the RTI petitioner has the right to publish the report at any forum. However this does not mean that the document has no copyright protection, as pictures which feature in websites where the copyright status is protected then even if the same picture comes under RTI, the stricter license would apply. Thus we have to chk the license in case to case basis. LegalEagle (talk) 12:08, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Possibly unfree Image:Sharma rakesh.jpg
An image that you uploaded or altered, Image:Sharma rakesh.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree images because its copyright status is disputed. If the image's copyright status cannot be verified, it may be deleted. You may find more information on the image description page. You are welcome to add comments to its entry at the discussion if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 15:25, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] RAW page - classified info release
Hi Legal,
Thanks for rving the edits. Is there any way we can remove those edits from the history? I suspect that its just an editor with a very active imagination, but better not to take that chance. I'll be watching his edits very carefully from now on. Next thing is to get the images also deleted. Could u add a CSD tag on them if possible. I'm seeing if theres any way to take this forward. Could u email me if possible, so that I can give u the details.
Thanks. Sniperz11@CS 11:57, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Ek1.jpg
Thank you for uploading Image:Ek1.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by an adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Geniac (talk) 14:03, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] hi
hey, found you editing NUJS page and so dropped on to your userpage. Found that you are doing law. Was quiet happy to see that because in the small time that I have been on wikipedia, I didnt find many with the background in law. Also saw the templates you created. Was wondering what the relating to SCICase was for. Anyways, I have been working on a page for Law Commission of India. Thought would drop a message for you if you could help in any way. Looking forward to hearing back from you. Cheers. Tarun2k (talk) 15:09, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
-
- sure, the place may not be organised, but it atleast deserves a page on wikipedia for all the work they have done on law reform. Presently and running busy with some work but plan to come up with the full page soon. Hope you would have liked the contents till now. And I would be more than happy if you could contribute your part.
- As for the template, it looks nice but I was wondering if the holding part in the infobox could be changed to accommodate more than one major outlines of the decisions, all in bullet form. At present I dont think it can accommodate more than one distinct outcome of the case. Hope you would look into that too. In any case, its so nice to see that someone has been working on Indian law related segments, which I have found to be a neglected area mostly. Tarun2k (talk) 09:44, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
