Welcome to my Wikipedia homepage. I am new to Wikipedia and find that editing pages is very time consuming. I do have a life beyond the computer, although the TV is practically the same thing as a computer monitor. Maybe I am just addicted to sitting and staring at glowing boxes?

[edit] Naval Background

I am a US Navy veteran with twenty years in the United States Submarine Force. Previous commands include the USS Von Steuben (SSBN-632), USS West Virginia (SSBN 736), USS Louisiana (SSBN 743) and Trident Training Facility, Kings Bay, GA. Awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal and Achievement Medals along with the Gold SSBN Deterrent Patrol insignia for completion of twenty SSBN patrols.

[edit] Educational Background

I have a Masters in Education from Valdosta State University, specializing in adult and career education. I also have an Applied Technology Diploma in Marine Electronics and a Journeyman’s Apprenticeship Certificate in the field "Electronics Mechanic" from the U.S. Department of Labor.

[edit] Expertise

My expertise lies in the TRIDENT and Fleet ballistic missile submarine domain. My navy ratings were Fire Control Technician (Ballistic) and Missile Technician (US Navy). I will most likely edit and create pages that deal with the United States Navy nuclear submarine force, Ohio Class submarines, TRIDENT missile systems, and missile fire control systems. Obviously all information that I edit or create will be unclassified, public domain information. Some technical information I will not be able to comment on because that would lend credibility to the information which would violate my fifty year non-disclosure agreement with the government. But I can provide generic comments and answer generic questions that the general public may have. For example, navy submarines are ships of war and do not have windows for looking at fish or the bottom of the ocean. You may think that is silly, but I have received questions about looking at fish through the windows of a submarine many times.
