Lego pneumatics is worthy of its own article which I am happy to contribute to. The subject is both interesting and covers important pneumatic principles etc. PennbradlyUser:Pennbradly 08:10, 4 April 2006 (UTC)

You can (unofficially) use at least some parts in hydraulic systems. Many years ago, a friend and I built a piston-containing grabber, which had a hugely-geared-down-motor operating another piston, with a simple tube between the two parts. Air? Useless without repeated pumping, and difficult to re-open the claw. Water? Massively strong, but very slow. The claw was perfect for the front of a computer-controlled buggy, anyway - with the hydraulic 'pump' on top of the buggy. 91.86.19.144 (talk) 14:32, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
