I'm not sure of your distinction between the Legislative Council of Newfoundland and the House of Assembly (prior to Confederation as opposed to current site which deals not only just with the postconfederation House of Assembly but the CURRENT House of Assembly). Not having any primary sources with me at the moment, only my oft-wrong brain, I would have thought that they were the same thing i.e. Legislative Council and the House of Assembly.
