Talk:Legal Practice Course

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I've taken out the weasel words while trying to back up the points that the contributors have made. I can see that there is an argument for not having a section about 'controversy' at all. I think it's best to keep it in though because the LPC is enormously unpopular amongst students, mostly because it is expensive and somewhat dry.

The comment on the environment looks spurious, but in fact the original contributor was right that the course uses up a quite incredible amount of paper. I have put it in with the 'controversy' section though, because it is not a very important point and should not have a section by itself.

Added NPOV/Weasel tags due to spuriously worded criticisms in the controversy section,

Many of these criticisms utilise weasel words and fail to cite any reference/source.

I know that in the past there has been talk of abolishing the LPC... does anyone know anything about this? If so, it might be worth adding?

Also, does anyone know the system in Scotland, a linked on that would probably be useful.

I put the criticism of the electives element of the course in 'controversy surrounding the lpc' because it looks as if the first part of the article was meant to be factual only, with 'controversy' only discussed later on. It's good to have the criticisms in there though!

This article could be useful for someone thinking about taking the LPC, so I think it's a good idea to keep the first part of it factual only to make it clearer.

The section on how to apply is not an advertisement. The LPC is not profit making. It is a qualification. Wikipedia is a great source of information - that includes practical information.
