Lego Speed Racer is a Lego theme set for an April 2008 release to tie in with the release of the Speed Racer film, however some items have been sighted on toy store shelves at the end of March. They have debuted with the following four sets:

8158 Speed Racer & Snake Oiler (242 pieces)

"Born to race cars, Speed is daring, instinctive and, most of all, fearless. Driving his supercharged Mach 5, he will need every thing he's got to beat Snake Oiler at the Casa Cristo Classic cross-country road rally."

8159 Racer X & Taejo Togokhan (237 pieces)

"With the mysterious Racer X and Taejo Togokahn teaming up together, Togokahn Motors is ready to win at the challenging Casa Cristo Classic cross-country road rally."

8160 Cruncher Block and Racer X (367 pieces)

"Cruncher Block tries to fix every race, but race car driver and secret agent Racer X, is out to stop him. He'll have to be careful – Cruncher Block's massive semi truck has an automated machine gun and a missile that fires from the front of the truck."

8161 Grand Prix Race (595 pieces)

"Speed's Mach 5 race car is capable of 400 kph and is ready for the Grand Prix. But so are his opponents – Gray Ghost and Cannonball Taylor. Set includes three race cars: the Mach 5, Gray Ghost's car, Cannonball Taylor's car and eight minifigures"
